The core difference between them and ordinary building pipe fittings lies in their higher design temperature, higher design pressure, and stricter material grades.
Specifically, the product line covers roughly the following categories:
Elbows: Long radius/short radius, conventionally 90°/45°, and also the 180° bend commonly used in power plants. Large-diameter thin-walled elbows require push-forming or hot-press forming, while small-diameter thick-walled elbows are mostly seamless cold-pressed.
Tees: Equal diameter tees and reducing tees. Forged tees or butt-welded tees are commonly used under high-pressure conditions; welded branch pipe supports cannot be used as a substitute-this will be discussed later.
Reducers: Concentric reducers and eccentric reducers, used for changing the diameter of steam and water pipelines. The main steam and reheat sections of power plants have strict stress analysis requirements for the wall thickness transition zone of reducers.
Caps: Used for sealing, commonly found at the ends of boiler exhaust pipes and drain pipes.
Flanges: WN (welding neck) flanges are the absolute mainstream in high-pressure pipelines of power plants; SO (flat-face) flanges are only used in low-pressure auxiliary systems. Standards include ANSI B16.5, EN 1092-1, DIN, etc.
Forged Fittings: 3000#/6000# grade socket weld and threaded small-diameter high-pressure fittings used for instrument pipes, sampling pipes, drain branch pipes, etc.
