There is a wide variety of pipe fittings, which can be categorized into the following main types: fittings with varying diameters, where the diameter is reduced at the pipe end or a specific section; fittings with varying wall thicknesses, where the wall thickness changes along the length of the pipe; fittings with altered cross-sections, where the cross-section is transformed from circular to square, elliptical, or polygonal shapes as required; bent fittings, where straight pipes are formed into bends with varying radii of curvature (e.g., elbows and pipe bends); fittings with flanges or rims, including those with ends flared inward or outward, or those featuring raised sections or grooves along the circumference; fittings with rolled edges or sealed ends, designed to enhance overall end strength by rolling the edge outward or inward, or by sealing the end; and flanges used to connect pipes and various valve components.
